ERR_CERT_DATE_INVALIDCertificate Date Invalid
The SSL certificate has expired or its validity window hasn't started yet. This blocks the connection to protect against using old, potentially compromised certificates.
Why this happens
- The site owner forgot to renew their SSL certificate
- Auto-renewal (Let's Encrypt, certbot) failed due to DNS or server issues
- Your system clock is set to a wrong date or time
- The certificate was issued for future dates (rare)
How to fix it
- 1
Check your system date and time — if it's wrong, correct it and reload
- 2
The site owner needs to renew their certificate (usually free via Let's Encrypt)
- 3
Try the site again later — many sites auto-renew and it may recover within hours
- 4
Check the certificate's expiry using an SSL checker tool
