How it works
Step 1. Your input is matched against our curated status-meanings database first — the fastest, most precise source. If we have the phrase, you get an instant answer with what-to-do guidance and a typical-wait estimate.
Step 2.If no exact match, we apply category rules based on keywords in the message (e.g. “in transit” → shipping, “authorization” → payments).
Step 3.If the rules also fail, we escalate to an AI model and tag the result as “AI assisted” so you know the source. AI fallback only runs when the database and rules can’t classify the phrase.

Frequently asked
What kinds of status messages can I decode?
Shipping (USPS, UPS, FedEx, DHL), payments and finance, government and immigration case statuses (USCIS, IRS), HTTP error codes (404, 503, 429, etc.), network and browser errors (ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED, NXDOMAIN), and travel / flight statuses.
Is my status message stored or shared?
Status messages are sanitized before processing. We remove emails, SSNs, card numbers, and other identifiers. We don't store raw status text tied to your identity.
What if the decoder doesn't recognize my status?
If no match is found in our database, we apply category rules based on keywords. If that also fails, we escalate to an AI model. The result is tagged with which path produced it.
Can I use this for USCIS or IRS case statuses?
Yes. We explain government case statuses in plain English — "Case Received", "Actively Being Reviewed", "Biometrics Scheduled". We do not accept case numbers and cannot look up individual cases.
